The humans on earth think they can replenish the planet by mining the resources of Pandora, a newly discovered planet. A mining company schemes to strip Pandora of its natural resources to transplant them to Earth. Avatar’s greedy humans want to save Earth, destroy Pandora and make money.
Pandora’s aliens are called Na’vi. The Na’vi must defend their planet and themselves or face extinction. Profesor paul Frommer, from the University of Southern California, created a special language called the Na’vi language, for the blue colored humanoid aliens in Avatar. There is a special dictionary for the Na’vi language.
Avatar is a futuristic film that uses fantasy and a current theme on global warming and exploitation.
The director of Avatar is James Cameron. Cameron is trying to encourage cinema goers to watch Avatar “at least 4 times”.
Some of the blue aliens in Avatar are computer generated graphics. The human cast includes Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and 35 other not-so-famous cast members.
How much did it cost to make Avatar? Avatar is rumored to have cost £180 million to £300 million. Why did Avatar cost so much money to make? James Cameron changed his mind many times so the scenes were changed, re-shot, and the cost rose. Fox Studio allowed Cameron to have the upper hand because of his past track record with making the movie Titanic.
Is Avatar a 3D movie? The answer is yes and no. Two thirds of Avatar is computer generated and one third of Avatar uses real actors and actresses.
Is there Avatar Part Two? Most likely, there will be a continuation. It depends on the success of Avatar.
