How are bears in Children Fiction Books? Are they always portrayed as friendly wildlife? Do children believe in fiction that paint bears like Kenai, as in Brother Bear? No, “Children Fiction Books” is going to tell a story about a wild bear who gets into trouble when he tries to steal food from humans.

Bartholomew was a black colored honey bear. Bartholomew liked to eat honey he harvested from bees’ hives in the trees. Bartholomew waited until he saw the bees leave the colony in droves, to search for nectar. Then, Bartholomew would creep up slowly to the bee hive and steal the honey.

Bartholomew usually hunted during the day and slept at night. But one night, he woke up because his stomach was growling with hunger. Bartholomew tossed and turned and tried falling asleep again. He couldn’t return to his cozy slumber because his tummy signaled his urgent need to search for food. Bartholomew reluctantly left his bed and went on the prowl for edible vittles.

Bartholomew wandered out of the forest and into the town of the humans. He spotted a car in the driveway of the nearest house. There was an odd smell emitting from the general direction of the car. Bartholomew decided to check it out. He slumbered over to the vehicle and circled it cautiously. He was in luck. One of the doors was left unlocked and not fully shut. Bartholomew nudged the door with his snout and it swung open. Bartholomew was inside the car in a flash. He smelled food. He almost went crazy thrashing about inside the car, trying to locate the source of the food. He was so preoccupied with thoughts of food that he failed to notice that the door of the car had shut. There was no food to be found inside the car, just some discarded hamburger wrappers on the floorboard.

Bartholomew was disgusted with the humans. They had consumed all the food and left the rubbish behind to stink up the car. He had to get out and search for food elsewhere. Where was the opening? Bartholomew couldn’t find his way out. He panicked and tried to barge his way of the interior walls of the car. The alarm went off. Bartholomew grew more desperate as he was mystified. What sort of contraption was he in?

Meanwhile, the owners of the car thought that a thief had broken into their car and was trying to steal it. The couple called the cops. When the officers arrived, they found Bartholomew sitting at the front seat, looking dazed, frightened and totally out of this world. One officer opened the car door cautiously while his partner covered him.

Bartholomew sauntered out and was relieved to be breathing the fresh air again. He looked back over his shoulder at the cops, as if to thank them. Then he rumbled off back into the woods. The officers and owners of the car were relieved that Bartholomew left peacefully.
