Children Fiction Books presents a poem on a “Christmas Tree Ornament”. What does a Christmas tree ornament think about when it is hanging on the tree? How does the ornament feel? Ornaments usually don’t get the time of their lives telling people about their stories. The poem tries to tell the story of one such ornament.
Christmas Tree Ornament Poem.
If I were an ornament on a Christmas Tree,
This is what I would like to be –
I would like to be the wishing star,
That sits high above the tree.
I would like all the people who pass by,
To make a wish and talk to me.
If it is within my power to grant them their heart’s desire,
I wouldn’t hesitate to give them their wishes.
If what they ask for isn’t good for them,
I’ll try to give them something else.
I’ve decided to help everyone,
So that no one
Will be disappointed, when they wished beneath the Christmas Tree.
