Holly the Hedgehog makes an appearance in Children Fiction Books. This Hedgehog had an adventure which is being recorded in my Fiction Book. I like animals and they pop up frequently in Children Fiction Books. In fiction, sometimes the animals can talk. In this fiction however, I didn’t make the Hedgehog talk. The video of a funny hedgehog is pasted below.

One morning, Holly the Hedgehog enjoyed an especially sumptuous meal in Mrs Brown’s garden. Holly had a delicious dish of garden snail. To top it all, she found a hole in the garden wall. Holly wanted to crawl into the hole to get to the other side of the wall. Curiosity killed the cat and it almost killed Holly the Hedgehog.

Holly squeezed herself through the hole in the wall. She managed to squeeze her head through but her shoulders never made it past the Wow! Holly saw a whole new world outside. Holly wriggled herself forwards but she was well and truly stuck. Holly wanted to cry.

Holly Hedgehog couldn’t wriggle backwards in reverse gear because her spines were grown pointing towards her back. Holly’s spines were strong and she couldn’t risk breaking them. She could bleed and die.

Holly Hedgehog waited for help to arrive. Surely the owners of the house, a neighbor, or a passerby would notice her and get help to free her. Sure enough, the mail man came at noon to deliver letters. Holly was lucky this was a weekday when the mail was delivered. If she had gotten stuck on a weekend or holiday, Holly Hedgehog’s awful predicament might not get discovered.

Mr Mailman saw Holly’s head poking out of the hole in the wall. He called out to Mrs Brown to come out to take a look. Mrs Brown determined that a hedgehog had accidentally wedged herself in a tiny hole.

Mrs Brown didn’t know what to do to rescue Holly Hedgehog. Then, a bright spark hit her. She called the SPCA and reported a stuck hedgehog. The animal rescue emergency responders arrived assessed the situation.

Mr Smith, from the SPCA, said the Hedgehog had to be dug out by hand. Mr Smith went to his vehicle and brought out some digging tools like a small chisel to chip away the wall.

It was a time consuming work. By the time the hole was enlarged for Holly Hedgehog to be pulled out, she was dead tired. Holly curled into a ball and refused to look at her human saviors. Holly was tired and scared of the humans. When she was sat gently on the ground, Holly Hedgehog ran away as fast as her hedgehog legs could carry her. She wouldn’t be investigating any holes in the wall for a long while.

This is the Fiction of a Hedgehog who got stuck in a pricky situation.
