Today, Children Fiction Books will tell a story on “How To Make Your Hamster Lose Weight”. Many children like me have pets and sometimes, these pets get fat. I’m going to tell a non fiction story on how my hamster lost weight. In future, I shall try to write a good hamster fiction.
I have a hamster whom I named Peanut. She is small, has grayish fur and a shy personality. I named her Peanut because she is tiny, like a Peanut. Peanut has a steady diet of commercially prepared pellets that contain carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Peanut eats dried vegetables and fruit that are bought from the pet store.
I have kept Peanut for over a year and she was getting fat. I was worried for her health. I went to the Pet Store to shop for exercise equipment. Peanut, my hamster, had a running wheel, which is like our human treadmill.
I asked the store assistant for help. The nice lady listened to my problem and then recommended getting a mobile, standalone running sphere. I just have to put my hamster inside the sphere and when she walks or runs on the inside of the sphere, she will move the sphere. The sphere acts like a vehicle for the hamster. The commercial name for the gadget was “Ball Runner”. How cool, I thought. My heart was won over and I bought the sphere.
Now, at home, I couldn’t wait to try it out on Peanut, my hamster. It took a little adjustment before Peanut could overcome her fear of a new object like the sphere.
The down side of the sphere was that it had breathing holes and poop could be dropped down. When the sphere travels, it could leave a trail of hamster poop in the house.
Do you think I should let Peanut exercise once or twice a day in her sphere?
