Jack had an important task to do in the morning. He had to accompany Jill to the top of the hill, to fetch a pail of water. Actually they needed many pails of water and Jack and Jill had to repeat the same task over and over again. They needed the water for their crops growing on their farm.
It was back breaking work so Jack knew he had to get to bed early, in order to wake up early to have a good breakfast before starting on the day’s chore.
What was the importance of the crops to Jack? His family needed to take care of the crops to be able to harvest them. After harvesting, Jack and his family would sell the crops and become wealthy enough to survive for that year.
The entire process banked heavily on Jack getting to bed early. Early to bed, early to rise. After taking care of the crops, Jack would become healthy, wealthy and wise.

Nice, educational story, good site. Yet, I guess stories for kids should be more of the kind that adults could read too? And there should be more stories with unseen and unusual characters whuich could attract more readers? The classical, old like vampires, elves, dwarfs, wizards with sharp hats, fairies, etc. are too ordinary already? That’s why I try some new in some of my books (weightless korks, glowing, living balls, Brown faces, fiery men, one-eyeds, night fruit, rock pieces, fish-keepers, etc…), I guess they look and sound more interesting than the usual we read about every day?
Wish you all the best to all authors for children stories! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (a greeting of the water dragons’ hunters – my Tale Of The Rock Pieces).
