Once upon a time, in the volume of the Children’s Fiction Books, there existed a good witch named Ginny who wanted to hide away from all people. Ginny lived a normal existence and rarely used her witch’s powers unless she was forced to do so.

Ginny had her assistants, who were her witch’s familiars. When Ginny wanted a spell done and she needed an assistant, she would call upon her familiar to lend a helping hand.
Small, common garden animals gravitated towards Ginny. Toads often hopped into her house, especially after a cold, wet night out in the garden. Ginny wasn’t sure if the same toad sought refuge in her home but she didn’t mind. The toad or toads that were occasional guests didn’t bother her.
Once in a blue moon, or the witches’ moon, a young bird would hop inside Ginny’s home. Sometimes, other animals who were injured or sick also sought refuge in Ginny’s home.
The most common of all the witches’ familiars was the feline, or domestic cat. Several had approached Ginny to apply for the post of being her assistant. Ginny couldn’t take any of the cats in. She worked at a regular human’s job and the long hours away from home would not be good for a cat.
That never prevented cats from trying to gain access into Ginny’s informal bed and lodging for all witches’ familiars. Ginny treated all her animal friends well.
If you see toads and other creatures inside a home, be aware that the house might belong to a witch!
